Eric E. Cummings, Esquire

Eric was mentored by and partnered with Attorney Dwight L. “Skip” Koerber, Jr. for nearly a decade. He was able to not only maintain his own practice but has retained all of Skip’s clients following Skip’s unexpected passing in 2015. Eric believes that his strength is in his relationships with numerous individuals and entities throughout the local community. He was the proud recipient of the Courier Express’ 2015 “Best Attorney Award” which he credits totally to his staff and his loyal and growing client-base.

His practice focuses upon commercial transactions, corporate creation, estate probate, estate planning, real estate purchases, real estate management and real estate/ boundary disputes, though he handles all other matters generally as well. Eric is solicitor for a number of organizations, including Clearly Ahead Development t/d/b/a Clearfield County Economic Development Corporation, the Clearfield Foundation, Inc. and the Habitat for Humanity of Clearfield County. He is honored to sit on numerous Boards of Directors, including the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, the Clearfield Soccer Association and the Tri-County Church of God.

Eric received his Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State University and holds the State College community close to his heart. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida.

Eric is a proud father of three and a thankful husband regarding his wife who is a cancer survivor. He holds strong to his faith in Christ though Eric is himself admittedly imperfect. His faith is his driving force in fighting for his clients, his family and his friends.

Lastly, Eric is the founder of The Cummings Law Firm, LLC. The firm is not his, but belongs to his clients. His clients and their struggles are what justify the late evenings at the office and the joy of winning when it matters most. He chose the symbol of the lion as a sign of what The Cummings Law Firm, LLC stands for: boldness. Proverbs 28:1 reads, “the wicked flee though no one pursues them, but the righteous are as bold as lions.” The lion is a signal to everyone, inside the office and outside of the office, that Eric, Josh and are staff are committed, not only to serving your needs in the midst of battle, but they are committed to doing so boldly.
